Information we collect

This policy describes the categories of information a service like Feistafind would typically handle. In this prototype, everything you enter is stored only in your own browser and is never transmitted anywhere.

Account information

When you register: your first name, email address, date of birth (to confirm eligibility), general location, gender, who you are interested in meeting, and your relationship goals.

Profile information

Content you choose to add: your profile description, interests, and photos. Profile information is visible to other members by design.

Messages

Messages you send and receive. In a live service these would be stored securely and accessed only as needed to operate, moderate, and protect the platform.

Device information

Technical data such as browser type, device type, and approximate region, used to keep the service working well and secure.

Cookies and similar technologies

Used for essential functions, preferences, and — with your consent — analytics. See the Cookie Policy for details.

How we use information

• To create and maintain your account and profile
• To show you relevant profiles and show your profile to others
• To operate messaging and notifications
• To keep the platform safe: moderation, fraud and abuse prevention
• To respond to support requests
• To improve the service, using aggregated or de-identified data where possible

Legal basis (where applicable)

Depending on your jurisdiction, processing may rely on your consent, on performance of a contract (providing the service you signed up for), on legitimate interests (safety and improvement), or on legal obligations. Your legal counsel should map this section to the laws that apply to your service.

Data retention

Account information is kept while your account is active. When you delete your account, profile and message data would be deleted or de-identified within a defined period, except where the law requires retention (for example, records of safety reports or financial transactions).

Data sharing and service providers

A live service typically shares limited data with vetted providers: hosting, email delivery, payment processing, and analytics. It should never sell members' personal information. Any data sharing for safety or legal reasons (for example, responding to lawful requests) would be disclosed here.

Security

A production service must protect data with encryption in transit and at rest, hashed passwords, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; members should still follow the guidance in the Safety Center.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Account deletion is available in your profile settings at any time.

Children's privacy

Feistafind is for adults 18 and older, and is designed for adults 50+. The service must never knowingly collect information from minors. If a minor's account is discovered, it must be removed.

International users

If the service operates across borders, data may be processed in other countries with appropriate safeguards. Legal counsel should specify the transfer mechanisms that apply.

Changes to this policy

Material changes would be announced in advance by email or a prominent notice. The revision date at the top shows the latest version.
